alien resurrection
an alien movie directed by jeunet? strikes me as weird, too. another thing that struck me is wormtongue’s presence in the movie, as hereforth brad dourif will be known, at least by me. by strange coincidence, i’m currently watching an x-files episode that also includes dourif, playing the role of luther lee boggs.
cold mountain
beautiful, but a downer. all in all, i’m glad i saw it, but i was hoping to leave the theater a little less depressed. lots of stars involved in this film, but also some fun lesser-known names (e.g., jena malone and philip seymour hoffman). oscar nominations, anyone?
