i don't want to be seen as a pretty thing;
it's the pretty things we're always breaking

kill time

scrabble: i was debating the merits of implementing some kind of scrabble or trivial pursuit related activities on my website. i guess i’ll just frequent this site instead.

optical illusions: the snakes … they move …

sell your soul: dave sent me this link. his soul is apparently worth almost three times as much as mine. i’m doubtful.

the other seth: creepy. almost timecube-esque.

dan’s webpage: see pics from last friday’s party.

staghornlocal beer: i got some of both of these (there are two links there) last saturday at steve’s. tasty. the spinning bottle on the capital site would belong on the optical illusion page if it wasn’t, you know, actually spinning. i suppose if you drank enough wisconsin amber, though, the bottle would look like it was spinning even if it was laying, quietly and very still, tipped over on the floor. how’s that for an optical illusion?

elver park

I played disc golf at Elver Park this past Saturday. I was +7 on the front nine, and even on the back nine. I’ll attribute my score on the front nine to not having played for a while. I will also attribute it to the fact that I’m not very good at disc golf. Here is a low-res map of the course.

A quick googling of Elver Park turns up a “fight” that occurred there a month ago. Apparently the best adjective the newsfolk behind the first link could find to use to refer to a group of over 300 people that required the resources of three police districts to quell was “agitated.”

I look forward to going back.

lesser evils

groan if you must; here comes the blog. it seems to me there are at least a couple of people who might want to know what i’m up to, and yet i fail to correspond, on a regular basis, with the vast majority of them. a blog alleviates this problem, at least a little bit.

shawshank redemption

i really like this movie. i think most people do. started watching it while folding laundry, then decided to watch the rest as well.

once upon a time in mexico

not as good as desperado, though johnny depp is pretty badass.
