anyone who hasn’t seen this “delightful” little “gem” detailing how truly awful people can be is missing out. what they are missing out on is the guilt ridden feeling that one gets while laughing at such horrendous things. this is perhaps the darkest comedy i’ve ever seen.
competetive scrabble players, much like any other group of (idiot) savants, are entertaining, especially when written about in such humorous fashion.
a classic. the redux version is longer. i’m not sure if the extra length would be good on the first watching, but it was interesting to see what got cut.
ah, the mormons. the divine revelations of joseph smith and the life and times of the many polygamist splinter groups make for good, old fashioned nonfiction reading.
“zombies! trainspotting!” these are the two thoughts that accompanied me into my first movie viewing at the neighboring marcus theater. better than your average zombie movie, not as good as trainspotting. and the alternate ending was a letdown. or maybe it was the original ending. one of the endings really sucked.
